We are getting closer and closer. These little moments as I wait. I wait for her to ask, to breathe, to smile. I wait on him to arrive. Sitting by the window, chatting and talking about life, we were asked by the midwife for a photo. Stating that there was just something so cute.
This day is still going, and there is more to happen. But this moment, this one is a good one. A reflection of this process, and who we are.
Thoreau said that he wanted to “live deep and suck the marrow out of life”. Moments like this, and the one to come as our child is born leave little marrow in the day, but sustain you for a lifetime. (at VCU Health)
