After waiting a couple of hours, I called in to see how things were going. They are starting to close the incision at this time. Due to the 100’s of sutures needed, this means that it will still be awhile. Soon though we should be informed that we are to get ready to transition. This has been the longest 7hours I have experienced in a long time. Hopefully we get to head up to the PICU soon.

At current, we are at 15 sets of parents that have been in an out and many have been able to take their little ones home from here. Happy that their procedures were fast, and long to know the feeling of taking my daughter home shortly after a surgery.
