... and the gray clouds loom overhead with the weight of the world above them

Preparing for fatherhood is a bit like preparing for this hurricane. We are checking our supplies, figuring out ways to disaster proof the house, and praying for the storms to come will be merciful. I have the feeling that, much like a hurricane, all the preparations will pale in comparison to the storms potential energy. I accept that this is part of the fear about becoming a father. My prayer is that God will give me the strength, knowledge and patience to do the best I can to weather the storms that are ahead. I AM GOING TO BE A DAD, I am scared out of my mind, and I am bracing this little boat that is family the best I can for the storms ahead.
